Written for a very dear friend who celebrates another year of sobriety today.

The day he decided to take his life back and live true to who he is, no matter how much discomfort he endured. Many I love struggle in the realms of addiction and it’s popular circle of demons. Their dance with guilt, shame, blame and not-enoughness only tolerates love, unconditionally. Anything else is chewed up and spit out.

May each of you have the ability to sit in solitude surrounded by the silence of self and surrender to each sweetness and sting that is allowed to surface.

May each of you release the resistance keeping you from what you desire and allow your rising.

May each of you love.
