That Kiss

Written March 20, 2021

That Kiss

You grabbed me and devoured me.

Your arms engulfed my body, a slight tilt just as a reminder my footing was destabilized, literally and figuratively.

Your lips laid on mine with an intensity wrapped in softness.

There was a trusted force, appropriate pressure to balance the passion and sweetness.

It wasn’t quick, as to check a box it was done and delivered.

The length of time wasn’t marked, it occurred just enough until it didn’t, duration was irrelevant.

My belly was full, satiety ensued.

A deposit was made for a longing, once it was gone... rooted in abundance, not absence.

It replays, the warmth in my core that was created, a deep sigh helps me catch my breath and slows the cinema.

Was I 17, 23, 36 or 48?

Our mutual wisdom allowed for the youthful tenderness.

Each of us participated equally to make the memory.

Of course it was outdoors, with a backdrop of majestic.

That Kiss

When you define what you want in your health goals, does it include connection?

Get curious.

Get real.

Get it.
